What happens to your information here.

What's collected

• Forms on this site (the Highland Energy enquiry form, or direct email/Telegram contact): your name, email, organization if given, and whatever you write in the message field.
• The chat widget: whatever you type into it. Those messages are sent to Anthropic's API (the company behind Claude) to generate a response — see "Who it's shared with" below.
• Local, on-device only: the site remembers which pages you've visited using your browser's local storage, so a "welcome back" note can point you to what you looked at last time. This never leaves your device, isn't sent to any server, and isn't used for advertising or tracking across other sites.

Why

To respond to enquiries, to answer questions through the chat widget, and — for the local "welcome back" feature only — to make repeat visits slightly more useful. Nothing here is used to build an advertising profile, and nothing is sold to anyone.

Who it's shared with

• Anthropic (api.anthropic.com) processes chat widget messages in order to generate a reply. This is the same kind of data flow as using ChatGPT or Claude directly — your message is sent to the model provider, processed, and a reply is returned.
• Telegram is used to notify Deniss directly when the Highland Energy form is submitted, so an AI-drafted summary of your enquiry reaches him quickly.
• No data from this site is sold, rented, or shared with advertisers.

How long it's kept

Form submissions and their notifications are kept as long as needed to respond to you and keep a reasonable record of the conversation — not indefinitely, and not for marketing re-targeting. Chat widget conversations aren't stored on this site's own servers after your session ends; they exist only in your browser tab and, transiently, in the API call used to generate each reply.

Your rights

You can ask what's held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, at any time — email deniss.hohlovs@gmail.com directly. This applies regardless of where you're contacting from; if you're in the EU/EEA, it also reflects your rights under GDPR specifically.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The one piece of browser storage in use (covered above, under "Local, on-device only") is functional, stays on your device, and isn't a cookie in the tracking sense.
